GUIDE HUB
Today’s Traitor guide
Compare suspects, testimony, evidence, and timeline, then name the culprit and the decisive clue.
For players who spot contradictions in short text
Basic deduction flow
Read the overview, then compare suspects, testimony, evidence, and timeline. Time mismatches often beat quote-vs-quote clashes—eliminate who “could not have been there” first.
You must name both the culprit and the decisive evidence—pick the clue that breaks a specific lie. Hints still let you finish, but they lower the score.
About the daily case
Today mode is date-locked, so everyone shares the same case. Share the prompt (not the answer) as a daily quiz with friends.
Practice mode holds past cases. If today’s mystery stalls you, warm up on a similar structure first.
Scoring, and when a hint is worth it
The culprit is worth 45 points and the decisive evidence 30, and they are scored independently. Name the right culprit with the wrong evidence and you still bank 45; miss the culprit but nail the evidence and you bank 30. Always fill in both before confirming—guessing beats leaving a slot empty.
The time bonus starts at 15 and drops by one every 20 seconds, hitting zero at the five-minute mark. The hint penalty is exactly 15. Because the two are equal, the clean rule is: hold out hint-free while you might still crack it inside five minutes, and once you are past five minutes and stuck, take the hint—the time bonus is already gone, so it now costs you 15 and nothing more.
The streak bonus adds 2 per consecutive full solve and caps at 10, so it maxes out at five in a row. A full solve pays 12 kingdom points plus a quarter of your score; a partial pays a fifth of the score.
